Here is an update on the Pastor's conference.  The pastors spent the night in the bus, without food.  The bus needed a new drive line so we sent one out but alas it was too short.  This drive line then came back to be exchanged for one of the correct length that fit.  Meanwhile Pastor Earl and the rest of us clueless gringos headed out to Betania to negotiate with the rebels and see Austin's farm project.  The Lord was with us and all it took for us to get past the roadblock was Pastor Earl talking to the rebels.  He has such a good reputation in the Indian communities that they just let us go by once he got there.  We had to do a bit of four wheeling but we were shortly back on our way.  The rebels also agreed to let our bus go by and now the pastors are here.  They are understandably hungry, exhausted, and glad to be here.  We greeted them, fed them and sent them to their host homes to get a good nights sleep.  We will start the conference tomorrow and keep it going until Friday.  The lessons learned?  Stay flexible, pray for God to give us victory over the details, and have some extra flex time in your schedule.

We start tomorrow and are grateful that we will have this ministry opportunity, continue to pray that Jesus gives us wisdom as we strive to help these pastors in their ministries.

  1. Wow. What exciting things is God going to do this week that Satan so wants thwarted! So glad the pastors are there and getting some rest.
